Our employees feel closer to our clients than to us

We once asked our employees: “If someone asked who you work for, what would you say?”

Most didn’t answer Netminds. Instead, they said COOP, Lobyco, WebCRM, SCADA, Emply, Lessor, Ingeniøren, or one of our other clients.

In our mindset it is exactly what we are trying to achieve. With over 20 years of experience, we’ve learned that our most successful teams are those where clients treat the remote team as their own employees. Just without all the trouble with recruiting, contracts, paying salaries and taxes in another country, ISO certified IT-infrastructure, secure workplace and so on. This deep integration means that we’re not just a supplier of resources—we’re a strategic partner.

We help our clients recruit and manage remote teams, ensuring they feel as connected as if they were working in-house. You can actually question, if we are a service company, or an IT-company. Because even if we actually develop software, and sometimes even know more about that process than the client, the design and concepts typically come from the client, and the passion comes from the clients project.

How to integrate the team in the organisation, And why?

Every customer is different. The same goes for their company culture. Over the years, we have learned that customers who choose to integrate their team into their own organization get much greater benefits. Especially because the team gets a better understanding of the project's goals. We see that they become more passionate and feel more connected to their colleagues on the customer side. The advantage is that it reduces the risk of them changing jobs, and thereby the team's knowledge of the customer's company and project grows over the years. At the same time, it minimizes the time we spend recruiting and transferring knowledge.

It's mostly about a mindset, making sure that your remote team is just a click away in Microsoft Teams and get the same information as internal employees. We also offer practical help to arrange team events locally. Your remote team is motivated exactly the same way as your internal team, and if you are willing to invest a bit in team building, the return is much higher motivation, retention and productivity because the team understands your business as good as anyone. Here are some ideas for inspiration to make your team feel part of your organisation.

We can help you grow quickly while offering high flexibility

We can help you grow really fast when IT-specialists are needed. And when you don't need the resources, you can reduce your fixed cost with short notice. When you hire internally, you often have to consider a 3 months unproductive notice period or longer, while we typically operate with 1 month notice.

Short-term and long-term contracts

We offer short-term consulting contracts for when you temporarily need more resources, where the consultant might even work on-site together with your team. We also offer long term contracts that last years, where you have more like a permanent remote team. Our biggest and oldest clients have been with us for 13 years in average.

What is the process of building a team?

1. Requirements meeting

Together with the client we define a budget and strategy for building a team and the technologies required for the project. Typically it starts with 1-2 persons who will play a keyrole as tech lead or team lead.

2. Recruiting process

Depending on how hard the position is to close the recruitment process takes a couple of months. We will only present candidates who have passed a technical interview with a senior developer within the specific technology.

3. Kickoff

To kickoff the project many clients like to come to our office a couple of days. Often it is also possible for the team to work onsite for some time to get familiar with the project and the rest of the organisation.

"What does it mean for you, that we are a Danish company?"

"First of all that we understand each other on a management level, and it's not only about language or doing business according to Danish law and practice. It's about much more, when you trust us to manage your remote team behind a critical IT-project that might be the core of your business.

No one likes to be a small client in a large company. We are a company of 300 employees, and have many teams with less than 5 people although we have teams of of 20, 40 and even 100 people. We understand that even one person in a team can have crucial importance for a small client, and don't move people around."
