What is .NET and why should you go for it?
The .NET platform (formerly .NET Core) is an open-source, cross-platform managed computer software framework for Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems developed primarily by Microsoft and is released under a MIT License.
It is a successor to the .NET Framework, which was abandoned by Microsoft in late 2014.

The .NET is a general-purpose development platform used to build a wide range of software products.
Here is a short breakdown of what our specialists are using it for:
Web Applications and Web APIs
Using ASP.NET Core, developers build scalable and high-performance web applications, APIs, and microservices. Often these are B2B/B2C platforms, admin portals, SaaS applications, enterprise intranets, and many more.
Cross-Platform Desktop and Mobile Applications

Using .NET MAUI (the successor of Xamarin), you can build native apps for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Development of Windows-only apps using WPF or WinForms is still a working option in many cases.
Cloud-Native Solutions

.NET integrates seamlessly with Azure, AWS, and other cloud providers. It is used to create containerized microservices, serverless functions, message-driven architectures, and scalable background jobs. Thanks to built-in support for Kubernetes, Docker, and event-based systems like Azure Service Bus or AWS Lambda, .NET enables fast deployment, monitoring, and scaling in modern cloud environments.
Enterprise and Line-of-Business Apps

Companies with Microsoft ecosystems often use .NET for developing and extending internal tools, ERP integrations, and legacy system modernization. Often related to Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Outlook/Exchange, etc.

2. Why should I choose hiring at Netminds, instead of hiring in-house?
Hiring in-house employees obviously has it’s benefits, which can’t be covered by remote people. We also believe that working from office makes sense and makes the team more efficient and healthy. But the thing here is different - are your in-house employees really working from office all the time? Or they actually combine office/WFH from the COVID-19 times? Nowadays, working remotely is a new standard, and as long as you can occasionally gather in the office, working remotely is as efficient as hiring in-house. Our mission is to make your remote employees at Netminds feel an equal part of your team by fully integrating them into your processes, corporate culture, and eliminating all barriers. We are proud when our employees say they feel more part of the client’s team than Netminds’.
